United in the Community
Development Centre – U7 to U11
United in the Community provides children the opportunity to develop and learn new skills in a fun and safe environment.
The aim of the Development Centre is to provide a professional environment for all players in the following age groups; U7, U8, U9, U10 and U11. Our philosophy is to produce technically competent players and to give them the best possible chance of progressing once they leave.
Identifying Talented Players
Talented players are often recruited through United in the Community’s programmes, such as the Schools Programme and Soccer Schools. The Centre is designed to cater for players who want to continue their development and reach their potential.
Development Centre Information
UITC secured an Academy agreement with Birmingham City FC for the 2017/18 season, the topics delivered coincide with the syllabus at Birmingham, which is designed to allow coaches to monitor and assess players throughout the season. The topics covered in training have been chosen to develop all aspects of football and regular fixtures against other Development Centres/Academies are put in place for players to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding.
